FREEDOM FEST

Join us for an unforgettable celebration at the City of Sanger's 2024 Freedom Fest! As one of the largest and finest 4th of July events in North Texas, this year's festivities promise an incredible experience for the whole family. Picture a vibrant atmosphere with food and merchandise vendors, mega water slides, carnival rides for all ages, and a delightful petting zoo. The highlight of the evening? A spectacular 25-minute fireworks show synchronized to music that will light up the sky. But that's not all – we're thrilled to announce that the renowned Bellamy Brothers will be headlining this year's event, ensuring an evening filled with fantastic music and entertainment. Mark your calendars for June 29th, from 5 to 10 PM, and join us at the enchanting Porter Park for a celebration of freedom and community spirit!  #FreedomFest2024

Important Information

 

EVENT START TIME:​

The event starts at 5:00 PM.  The park will be closed to the public before the event.

TENTS AND UMBRELLAS:

No pop-up tents or large umbrellas will be permitted.  You are welcome to bring your chairs and blankets.

Thanks to the courtesy of our local Walmart Distribution Center, seating will be provided for 750 people.  Seating is on a first come - first served basis.  

BIKE RIDERS: 

Non-motorized bikes (aka bicycles) are permitted.  Parking for bikes will be in one of the back fields.  The City of Sanger is not responsible for damage or theft.  If you opt to ride your bicycle, please secure it.

COOLERS AT FREEDOM FEST:

Small coolers are permitted. No larger than 14 x 7 x 12. No glass containers. As a reminder, alcohol is not permitted in City parks.

PARKING FOR FREEDOM FEST:

GENERAL PARKING WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AT PORTER PARK. FREE PARK AND RIDE SHUTTLES ARE PROVIDED.   Shuttles will begin running at 4:30 PM.  Shuttle service will stop once everyone has been returned to their vehicles.

Thanks to the generosity of @Sanger.ISD.TX, we have ample parking for this event!

Please park at one of the following locations and ride the shuttle to the park.

Sanger High School - 100 Indian Lane, Sanger, TX

 

First Baptist Church - 708 South 5th Street, Sanger, TX

 

Chisholm Trail Elementary – 812 N. Keaton Road, Sanger, TX

 

Sanger ISD Administration Building – 601 Elm Street, Sanger, TX

 

Sanger Middle School – 105 N. Berry Street, Sanger, TX

 

Linda Tutt Learning Center - 404 Hughes Street, Sanger, TX

 

Butterfield Elementary - 291 Indian Lane, Sanger, TX

Limited Handicapped parking will be available onsite at Porter Park.

Fireworks: will conclude our evening. You can expect a 25-minute show set to music.
